Fragments
DS: Some of the songs we started never got finished. Like the one for the three-headed dog in the underworld.
It's a dog's life living in Hell,
Not an interesting smell,
And as I said to my other two heads
It's a dog's life living in Hell.
And then there was a South American song we wrote that was terribly long and dull, but we rather liked the one chorus:
Oh, the biggest stinkers in the Incas
That's what they called us, too!
When we went out to walk about
They used to shout 'Pe-ru'!
They drove us away from the tribe one day,
Go back we never will,
For all the other Incas are extinct,
All the other Incas are extinct
But we are stinkers still.
Don't you remember that beautiful eighteenth century minuet I wrote, and all you could put into in was one mingy line:
Beau Brummel, Beau Nash; not forgetting bow legs.
Originally from the album 'And The We Wrote...'.
